Aberdeen Women's Aid

Aberdeen Women's Aid is a registered Scottish Charity (SCO 18711) and has been operational since 1972. We provide advice, support and refuge to women and children fleeing domestic abuse (whether physical, mental or sexual).

Aberdeen Women's Aid has three refuges within the city - two for women with children and one for women on their own. For the safety of residents, addresses and telephone numbers of the refuges are not made public.


Aims & Objectives of Aberdeen Women's Aid

>To provide safe accommodation for women, on their own or with children, fleeing domestic abuse.
>Inform, guide and support residents in the refuges.
>Advise and help anyone who approaches the organisation, whether or not they are in need of accommodation.
>Offer continued support to women and families when they leave the refuge.

Please note - we are unable to provide accommodation to anyone under the influence or dependent on alcohol or drugs.
